New marketing director appointed for Abu Dhabi Sheraton and Towers

Starwood employee Wael Rashed has joined the Abu Dhabi Sheraton and Towers as director of marketing. Rashed was Middle East sales director for the Luxury Collection. Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. is the parent company of Sheraton and the Luxury Collection as well as Four Points, W and Westin. 

 

Rashed established the Luxury Collection's regional sales office in Cairo and played a major role in boosting the profile of the brand in the region, according to a company press release. He says: "I am joining this superb Abu Dhabi property at arguably the most exciting time in its history as a $40 million renovation project has just been completed.”
