Dubai's growing exhibitions industry is set to welcome a new player - THE DOMUS GROUP. Backed by veterans in the Middle East exhibitions industry, the company will host exhibitions with a new concept in select industry sectors: Laboratory, Property, Media and Finance.

THE DOMUS GROUP's exhibitions will involve a weeklong calendar of conferences and seminars held in conjunction with the main exhibition leading to an 'intensive and extensive' trade show experience. The company is partnering

with several specialists in each industry sector to offer exhibitors and visitors multiple opportunities to conduct business and network.

Commenting on this new initiative, David Domoney, Managing Director, THE DOMUS GROUP stated: "Dubai's strategic location, and excellent tourism infrastructure makes it the ideal global MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) destination. Over the past few years, there has been a phenomenal increase in the number of exhibitions being hosted in Dubai International Exhibitions Centre (DIEC) and other locations in the region. However, while these exhibitions are well-attended and contribute significantly to business in the concerned industry, there seems to be a lack of adequate focus on the subjects at hand."

"The traditional formula of organising a three or four day exhibitions cannot work if one is aiming to give visitors a truly in depth experience. By tying up with strategic partners in each field to host specialised events, THE DOMUS GROUP is aiming to enhance the trade show experience. It also gives international visitors who travel to Dubai specifically for the exhibition a better opportunity to analyse the market fully, meet with key players and thus, make well-informed decisions," continued Domoney.

The dates for THE DOMUS GROUP's upcoming events are International Laboratory Week coinciding with Arab Lab and Instrumentation Show (January 31-February 3, 2005), International Property Week and the Dubai Property Investment Show (February 1-3, 2005), International Media Week featuring the Media Show (7-9 November, 2005) and International Finance Week with the International Finance and Banking Exhibition in 2006, all held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
