Nile Rating, an affiliate of Fitch Ratings, the international rating agency, raised the Egyptian Cement Company (ECC)’s rating from BBB to A-. The company's outlook was raised to A- due to its success in meeting its financial obligations in comparison to other companies in the North African state.

ECC was the first private sector cement company established after the Egyptian government deregulated the industry and began to privatize the state-run cement companies. ECC is located in the Suez area and currently operates four dry process lines, each yielding 1.75 million tons of cement annually. — (menareport.com)
