Satyam Computer Services is showcasing its domain competency for the oil and gas industry during its participation at GITEX 2002, as part of the Dubai Internet City (DIC) pavilion.
Today, the online trade in petrochemicals is to the tune of $27 billion. Online sales for natural gas were projected to increase from $23.6 billion in 2000 to $43.4 billion in 2001, which constitutes 8.2 percent of the total volume in the natural gas sector.
Satyam currently has an active customer base of over 260 customers, 67 of which are Fortune 500 companies. The company offers solutions for design, implementation and management of information technology (IT) operations for its customers.
