Oman awards $17 million tenders

Oman’s National Tender Board recently awarded seven tenders worth a total of 6.7 million Omani rials ($17 million), reported ONA. The projects included the construction of the Salalah Theatre in the province of Dhohar and the Omani Academy for Tourism and Hospitality.  

 

A tender was also awarded for the construction of a technical services building at Sultan Qaboos University. Funds were allocated to financing vehicle purchases for the Ministry of Housing, Electricity of Water and a study on the Al-Hota cave in the province of Al-Hamra. Additional tenders were issued for the Al-Hibbi road project and the GSM Hayyak prepaid phone Card Company. 

 

The Tender Board was established in 1973 and ensures the fair and equitable allocation of contracts. The board is responsible for all government tenders with the exception of contracts and projects related to defense and security. — (menareport.com)
