The Oman National Dairy Products Company (ONDP) recorded a 40 percent export increase in the first half of 2002 compared with figures from the previous year. The company posted a net profit of 172,000 Omani rials ($446,753) in the first six months of the year compared to OR 53,000 in the first half of last year.
ONDP’s revenues hit OR 5.1 million in the first half of 2002 compared to OR 4.4 million earned during the same period last year.
ONDP was established in 1976 as a joint stock company. It is one of the largest distribution infrastructures in Oman for chilled, frozen and dried food products with a direct coverage of over 5,000 retail stores. The company is a co-packer for major international and regional brands and is an approved supplier to major airlines and institutions. — (menareport.com)
