The Sultanate of Oman signed an initial memorandum of understanding with the Japanese Mitsui Company to build a new large ship with a cargo capacity of 145,000 tons, reported Al-Quds Al-Arabi . The Omani Minister of Economy, Ahmed Abdulnabie, signed the memo along with the Chief Director of Mitsui in Bangkok. The Japanese company is expected to deliver the ship in 2004. — (menareport.com
