Omani real-estate dealings up by 54%

In a statement cited by Oman News Agency (ONA), Abdullah bin Sulaiman al-Mukhaini, Real Estate Registrar at the Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water said that 2005 witnessed extensive activity in property dealings as compared to the previous year. 

 

According to Al-Mukahini, the value of the real-estate dealings in 2005 amounted to RO. 933.6 million (some US$2,427 million) with a 54% increase as compared to the dealings in 2004 which had amounted to RO. 429 million.  Al-Mukahini has indicated a significant rise in the AGCC investments in the field with the Kuwaitis heading the list of AGCC national investors in the Omani property aector.
