Oman's the Ministry of National Economy recently revealed that the state's revenues rose some 27.5% during the first 11 months of 2005 from 3.628 billion Riyals to 4.627 billion Omani Riyals.
General expenditures also increased from 3.225 billion Riyals to 3.506 billion Riyals during the same period, according to <i>KUNA</i>.
Custom revenues rose from 57.5 million Riyals to 70 million Riyals, while corporate income tax increased from 61.7 million Riyals in 2004 to 75.7 million Riyals in 2005.
Oil revenues rose 30% from 2.683 billion Riyals to 3.488 billion Riyals, while a significant 61% increase in natural gas revenues was noted: from 194.1 million Riyals in 2004 to 320.5 million Riyals in 2005.
Private sector support and distributions rose from 39 million riyals to 109 million Riyals.
Investment expenditures, on the other hand, fell from 881.2 million Riyals to 719.9 million Riyals over the same period.
