(MEBG) – Healthcard applications will soon be available online for residents of Dubai. If the project, which is being managed by the city’s municipality proves successful, long lines, inefficient service and unnecessary errors will soon be remembered as a thing of the past.
Quoted by Gulf News, the Dubai Municipality’s IT Director Abdulhakim Abdulkareem Malik said “Our e-clinic program is the first step in our government-to-government (G2G), government-to-business (G2B) and government-to-citizens (G2C) Internet-enabled program”.
The online healthcare program is designed to improve the quality and speed of the healthcard application process, as well as reduce manpower requirement and processing costs. It is also most likely to eliminate duplication and excess paper work within government departments.
