“Al Tayyar Travel Group” signs a partnership and cooperation agreement to be the General agent of cargo operations for the Turkish airlines in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Al Tayyar Travel Group has signed an agreement with Turkish airlines; make it the general agent of cargo operations of the Turkish Airlines in Saudi Arabia from the Kingdom to all over the world. The agreement was signed in Riyadh, By Dr. Fahad Al Jarboa the Chief executive of Al-Tayyar group, and by Mr. Abdulla Soner Aggurt, Senior Vice President Cargo Department from Turkish Airlines in the presence of a number of senior officials in the two companies. This agreement will enhance the shipping services offered by Al-Tayyar group for its customers, opening up a wide range of options.
Dr. Fahad al-Jarboa -The CEO- has explained saying: “We are committed to a long term strategy that will develop and expand our services locally and internationally earning us precedence in the various activities related to the industry of travel and the industries related to it, all in the best interest of our customers. Indeed this partnership will enrich us with more destinations and add to us all those air stations that are linked to Turkish Airlines, whether in Turkey or abroad. "
He also added saying: “This partnership with Turkish airlines confirms our commitment in meeting all the needs of our customers, in offering all our air cargo solutions to our valuable customers, be it individuals, institutions, companies or even governments, including the provision of cargo planes, especially for fast transfer of all air cargo and relief operations in the world. These kind of agreements reflect our great confidence in Al-Tayyar Group’s ability to represent international trade and semi-international distribution of products and tourism companies, Kingdom’s market."
The Group owns a network of branches in major cities inside and outside the kingdom extended to 250 cities around the world. Over the past year, the volume of goods exported through Al-Tayyar for shipping services was 10,415,098 tons. The company aims to increase this number during the current year. On the other hand, Al-Tayyar oversaw a remarkable rise in the volume of goods imported at a rate that reached 207% in the year 2010. Their volume by the end of September of 2010, had reached an equivalent to 4.613.055 tons, compared to 1.499.045 tons in the same period the year before.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Tayyar group is a member of the World Organization for air cargo, and the general agent for the sales and shipping services to more than 16 international airlines, including Saudi Arabian Airlines, Etihad Airways and Egypt Air. AL-Tayyar group’s last agreement was done with British Airways for offering cargo services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The group deals with 67 international airlines.
Al-Tayyar group’s cargo services are composed of four main sections, which are:
Shipping: This includes all services related to air transport, maritime and land transport, including fast delivery from door to door.
Customs Clearance: The clearance includes all incoming and outgoing goods by air, sea and land. Ensuring completion of all customs procedures and requirements which enter the port making sure that the shipment is delivered to the consignee as soon as possible.
Carpentry Center: This section was created to meet the growing demand for packaging. the center does not only meet the needs of Al-Tayyar for cargo services, but it also caters to a number of shipping companies in the Kingdom.
Shipping and Packaging: This section relieves the customer from the additional hassles of moving. Where the customer can transmit any kind of baggage and household appliances to large scientific equipment to their desired destination.
