60% of UAE’s survey respondents favor 3D TV for the 3D Experience

For the second year in a row LG is inviting the UAE gamers of all ages to participate in the ultimate challenge by entering LG’s Cinema 3D Gaming Championship. The competition will begin on the 17th of November till the 14th of December at The Living Rooms video games café in Dubai Festival City. 

Along with the launch of the competition LG Electronics commissioned survey conducted by Yahoo ! Maktoob   shows that consumers’ desire to experience 3D content is one of the main reasons behind choosing 3D TV over another TV Technology. 

The survey states that 60 percent of the respondents prefer 3D TVs as it gives them the chance to experience 3D content. However, 49 percent of them choose it for its flexibility and the wide viewing angles. The ultimate 3D brightness was picked by 45 percent of the respondents, yet 36 percent of them choose it for its ability on the live conversion between 2D and 3D channels whereas the same percentage of people (36%)  favors it for the availability of 3D content. 

Based on the high percentage of people who favor the 3D TV, LG has awarded their customers with the Cinema 3D Gaming Championship where participants can compete for the chance to be awarded the title as the UAE’s 3D gaming champion who will give them the opportunity to be recognized by their own peers and competitors as the ultimate Champion in the UAE. 

Over the course of four weeks, LG Cinema 3D Gaming Championship will witness the battle of participants in two different 3D games on a weekly basis. Eight finalists will be nominated throughout the four weeks-long preliminary rounds. The Grand Finale will take place on December 14th, 2012 and will witness the crowning of the UAE’s 3D gaming champion.

Participants will be able to choose one of two games to play in the competition including FIFA 13 Tournament and Need for Speed Most Wanted. Moreover, they will have the chance to experience the game’s spirit on LG 55inch LM9600 Cinema TV that offers an impressive Cinema screen, Dual Play function for gamers that allow dual-player games to be played without having to split the screen, an expansive selection of 3D movies, sports and games, 3D Sound Zooming feature which generates a 3D sound that is synchronized with the displayed 3D content, 3D Depth Control a new 3D visual technology that lets users adjust the depth or the distance between the on-screen objects, over 1,200 Smart TV apps globally and a user-friendly Magic Remote. 

At the Grand Finale event the participant will compete by playing on 84-inch Ultra HD TV which will give them great experience of the game. At the end of the game champion will be rewarded with a 47" LG Cinema 3D Smart TV, certificate and 3D Gaming festival trophy.
