Over 4,300 students sit for first semester exams next Saturday at Abu Dhabi University

Abu Dhabi University students on both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses will be sitting for their first semester final exams of the academic year 2013 -2014 starting this Saturday 7th of December till the 14th of December.

Students can check their results on the 19th of December once they’re posted online through the University’s website using their access to “Blackboard” and “PeopleSoft”.

Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University explained that the University has completed it preparations and taken the necessary measures in equipping classes and examination halls with what’s needed to ensure that the first semester final examinations are conducted smoothly, and in order to create an appropriate stress-free environment for the 4,332 students who will be sitting for the exams starting Saturday.

Dr. Ibrahim pointed out, that students at ADU are not only graded based on their performance during final exams. “Their grades also depend on the various research articles and papers or other projects that have been assigned to them throughout the first semester, depending on the courses they’ve taken”, said Dr. Ibrahim.

Dr. Ibrahim added that the University’s Office of Academic Integrity has also worked during the first semester to spread awareness amongst students on ADU’s policy of academic integrity, and their responsibility as Abu Dhabi University students to uphold the student Code Of Honor.

On his part, Bassam Murra, Abu Dhabi University’s Registrar pointed out that the mid-year break for the academic year 2013 -2014 will be from 15th December to 2nd January, after which the Winter semester will commence. “The second semester of the academic year will start on 16th February and registration for it will be open till the first day of classes”, said Murra.
