Abu-Ghazaleh Announces the Establishment Tag-Ren-Hub to Provide Dedicated Internet for Research and Education Community in the Arab Region

His Excellency Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) announced the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Research and Education Network HUB (TAG-REN-HUB) which is a dedicated National / Regional hub for research and education infrastructure created and installed in Amman to provide dedicated internet access to regional and global e-Infrastructures. This hub is operated by ASREN with support of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.GLOBAL).

TAG-REN-HUB consists of a set of high end level equipment with high availability installed in a highly secured data center with high availability options including redundant power, redundant equipment and redundant modules.

TAG-REN-HUB is currently connected at high speed to the regional and global research and education networks through ASREN’s main Point of Presence (PoP) in London which is supported also by the European research and education network (GEANT), thanks to the European Commission for the EUMEDCONNECT and AfricaConnect Programs.
