Al Bustan Centre and Residence joins Inter-hotel Fun Sports Day

Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, has recently participated in the Inter-Hotel Fun Sports Day held at Zabeel Park.

The Al Bustan Centre & Residence team, headed by Human Resources & Administration Manager Liza Ortiz, bagged major awards – taking Gold in the Tug of War; and three Silver trophies in Cheering Competition, Lime Relay, and Obstacle Course.

With the theme “Celebrating Diversity Through Fun Sports,” the event was packed with fun, competition, and excitement where 500 hoteliers from various nationalities coming from 17 (4-star and 5-star) Dubai hotels competed in events such as The Hunger Games (Eating Contest), Sponge Throw-Bucket Challenge, Blind Tug of War, Egg Relay, Crazy Obstacle Course, and Cheering Competition.

“It was such a great honor and privilege to have a team with high spirit, superb teamwork, and exceptional determination like ours,” said Al Bustan Centre & Residence COO Mr. Moussa El Hayek. “Friendly competitions like this do not just promote camaraderie but also improve the staff’s level of energy, commitment, and creativity at work.”

The event was organised by the HR managers and officers of the participating hotels, spearheaded by Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate and Mövenpick Hotel Deira. It is held annually to boost networking and foster solidarity among the hoteliers and to strike a healthy balance between work and social life.
