Packed with cutting-edge gadgets at unmatched prices, the biggest names in consumer technology and more prizes than ever before, the 21st edition of GITEX Shopper is set to be the best yet. Taking place from 8 – 15 October 2011 at Airport Expo Dubai, power retailers and world class brands are planning the Middle East’s biggest ever sales extravaganza.

With exclusive show offers on over 25,000 different products, bundled deals, exciting competitions and launches of the latest technology products, the show promises an unrivalled shopping experience for all visitors.

Bose, Nokia and Virgin Megastore are just a few of the big names who will make their GITEX Shopper debut in 2011, adding to a stellar line-up of exhibitors which includes Du, E4U, E-City, EMAX, Etisalat, iSTYLE, Jacky’s Electronics, Jumbo Electronics, Plug-Ins and Sharaf DG. Consumer favourites Canon, Dell, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, HTC, Lenovo, Panasonic, RIM–Blackberry and Samsung will also showcase their latest products.

“The consumer electronics market across the Middle East continues to grow at one of the fastest rates in the world and GITEX Shopper is an excellent way to provide access to the latest and greatest technology products at one convenient location. The unrivalled line-up of world-class exhibitors means that shoppers benefit not only from the quality, choice and value on offer, but ultimately from the improvements and enjoyment that great technology brings to our daily lives,” said Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre, organiser of the event.

In addition to the vast array of consumer electronics – from tablets, TVs and iPads, to laptops, flash drives and  notepads – GITEX Shopper also has some more unusual products this year. Greensound Technology will launch its eye-catching new wireless glass speakers and Merlin Digital will be showcasing Robostep, a two-wheeled self-balancing electric vehicle and Pleo, the world’s first autonomous robot pet.

Adding to the festival feel of the event, numerous competitions give visitors the chance to win fabulous prizes including daily draws for Samsung ‘Shop ‘n‘ Win’  and ‘Visit ‘n’ Win vouchers.

For those feeling a little overwhelmed by the choice on offer, PC Magazine’s “How to Buy” sessions held at the show offer the perfect solution. Technology experts will discuss the main features of different product categories, arming visitors with valuable insights to help them select the best products for their needs.

Getting to the show has never been easier, thanks to a partnership with the RTA that promises free shuttle buses between Rashidiya Metro Station to Airport Expo Dubai and free parking at Sheikh Hamdan Mosque.

GITEX Shopper 2011 will take place from 8 – 15 October 2011. The show is open from 11:00am – 10:00pm from Saturday 8 to Wednesday 12 October; from 11am – 11pm on Thursday 13 and Saturday 15 October; and from 3pm – 11pm on Friday 14 October.
