Biolab collaborates with DJUCO and LOYAC to sponsor the second Innovation Camp for university students

Biolab recently collaborated with the Danish-Jordanian University Cooperation (DJUCO) and Lothan Youth Achievement Center (LOYAC) to sponsor the activities of the second Innovation Camp for university students in the Kingdom, which concluded on January 24 2015.

The three-day camp brought together 25 students of various majors and socioeconomic backgrounds, providing them with opportunities to further their creative skills and acquire the fundamentals of self-development. The camp also instructed students on how to leverage on their academic knowledge to find solutions to real-life challenges facing the business sector, a number of which were presented by Biolab in the form of case studies.

This sponsorship came as part of Biolab's continued efforts to support and mentor the youth segment and to maintain its strong presence in various events and programs geared toward preparing students for the realities of the job market. Over the years, Biolab has consistently supported a wide variety of programs designed to facilitate knowledge and experience sharing, often lending particular focus to programs that promote innovation and creative thinking, both of which are critical elements in the national strategy to cultivate a knowledge-based economy.

Several activities within the camp's agenda were held at Biolab's training center, where members of the lab's team and senior management shared critical lessons learned throughout the brand's 13-year legacy. Two major case studies were presented to offer students the opportunity to brainstorm and formulate effective solutions and strategies to be critiqued by the team at Biolab. The team also participated in a number of debates and discussion panels organized as part of the camp, in addition to offering basic guidelines during the camp's various training workshops.

The Innovation Camp, which took place at the Olive Branch Hotel in Jerash, is considered a unique opportunity for students to build the necessary skills required for them to evolve into productive members of their community. The camp also works to narrow the gap between academia and the work force by translating theory into practice through its various workshops.
