BMW Group Middle East is gearing up for the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show with a host of new models that will demonstrate the luxury motor manufacturer’s leadership in innovation, performance and individuality. The region’s top automotive event takes place from 10–14 November at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Together with local importer AGMC, BMW Group will showcase 16 models at the show. The highlight of the stand will be the BMW Vision ConnectedDrive - on display for the first time in the Middle East - it a demonstration of BMW's development of innovative driver assistance systems and mobility services. This sensational two-seat roadster concept study will be joined by a number of vehicles showcasing the BMW Individual programme including the exclusive BMW 7 Series "Steinway & Sons Edition", a BMW 7 Series "UAE Edition" which celebrates 40 years of the UAE and a BMW 5 Series Individual.

Fans of the BMW M Division will witness the UAE debut of the brand-new fifth generation BMW M5, which goes on sale this month. They will also welcome the premiere of the X6M fitted with the Special M-Performance Kit as well as the BMW 1 Series M Coupe and X5 M.

The inspiring new BMW 6 Series will also be on display in Convertible and Coupe body styles. Both models will be fitted with the BMW M Sport Package and will feature BMW Individual interior highlights and exterior colours. Also on show will be the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo and the all-new BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle.

MINI will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of its relaunch into the Middle East at the Dubai International Motor Show and will have two stars in particular vying for visitors' attention. The all new MINI Coupe – the brand’s first two-seater and sportiest model to join the MINI family - will be shown just a few weeks after its regional debut at the DRIVE OUT LOUD MINI Festival in late October. This will be displayed alongside the MINI Paceman Concept - the first Sports Activity Coupe in the premium small car segment - which is set to become another building block in the development of the MINI brand. The MINI Countryman, the brand‘s first MINI with four doors and all-wheel drive capabilities, and the MINI Cooper S Hatch will also be on display.

BMW Group has seen strong sales performance in the Middle East between January and September 2011, with 13,777 BMW and MINI models sold representing a 11% increase compared to the same period in 2010. MINI is witnessing its strongest growth ever, with sales increasing 85%, driven in part by the introduction of the new MINI Countryman to the region.

Dr. Joerg Breuer, Managing Director of BMW Group Middle East, is looking forward to celebrating and building upon this success at this year's show. "The Dubai International Motor Show is a fantastic well organised event attended by thousands of car enthusiasts from across the region who come to view the latest cars and technology innovations in the automotive industry. As a result, it represents us with a great platform to showcase our latest BMW and MINI models and technology advancements. Together with AGMC, we look forward to participating."
