The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced its participation in the 20th Saudi International Wedding Fair 2020

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced its participation in the 20th Saudi International Wedding Fair 2020, which is considered the ideal one-stop wedding event for couture, fashion and jewelry. The highly anticipated event will be held until 7th March, 2020 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Bahraini Pavilion, which will cover an area of 25 m2, will include exhibitors from hotels including Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea & Spa, Al Areen Palace & Spa Bahrain in addition to the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf Air.

On this occasion, Acting Director of Marketing and Tourism Promotion Directorate at BTEA, Dr. Ali Follad said, “We are delighted to take part in this exceptional event where we will be promoting the Kingdom of Bahrain as a leading destination for weddings and celebrations. We look forward to showcasing what the tourism industry has to offer those who want to host and celebrate their special occasions in Bahrain. Our participation comes in line with our efforts to participate in regional and international events as we strive to strengthen Bahrain’s position as a leading tourism destination in the region and further develop the local tourism sector.”

The 20th Saudi Wedding Fair 2020 is the largest bridal event in the industry across KSA and the GCC, providing participants with the opportunity to showcase their latest products and services in the wedding sector. The event provides an ideal platform for participants and visitors alike to meet and connect with renowned international companies, as well as network with VIPs.

BTEA’s participation in the event comes as part of its strategic outreach program to promote the tourism brand ‘Ours. Yours.’ which is aimed at showcasing the Kingdom of Bahrain as the ideal tourism destination to the regional and international markets, and further promote the Kingdom’s touristic offering as a main contributor to the overall economic growth in line with the Economic Vision 2030.

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BETA)

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority was established in 2015 under the Royal Decree number (76) for the year 2015 issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain. Whereas the first clause of the Decree number (10) stated that an authority should be established under the supervision of the Council of Ministers

In 2015, BTEA started its operations under the Decree number (9) for the year 2015 to append the Tourism Affairs to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce based on the recommendation of HRH Prime Minister and under the law number (62) of the year 2016 to establish and regulate the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) and the Decree number (1) for the year 1985 to establish a Supreme Council for Tourism, and the law number (15) for the year 1986 to regulate the Tourism sector amended by a Law by Decree number (12) for the year 1994.
