Burgan Bank, KACCH and BACCH Join Hands to Organize a Toy Drive for Children in Hospitals in the Spirit of Ramadan

Burgan Bank has embraced the spirit of Ramadan by partnering with the Kuwait Association for the Care of Children in Hospital (KACCH) and Bayt Abdullah Children's Hospice (BACCH) to distribute toys to children in hospitals, under the umbrella of its special Ramadan campaign with the slogan entitled “Driven by Kindness”. This initiative comes as part of Burgan Bank’s Ramadan CSR program for this year that aims to spread joy and hope to children, attesting to the Bank’s commitment to spearhead positive community engagement.
A group of employees from the Bank personally distributed toys to children at Jaber Hospital and Al Amiri Hospital, in collaboration with KACCH and BACCH; with the aim of greatly improving their experience, comforting them, and inspiring confidence during treatments. This bank-wide engagement is clear evidence of Burgan Bank’s deep commitment to living by its core values of compassion and service. Accordingly, the toy drive resulted in 110 children receiving toys to draw smiles on their faces.
Commenting on the charitable toy drive, Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah, Senior Manager–Corporate and CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, said: “This year’s humanitarian initiative strengthens our 22-year strategic collaboration with KACCH and BACCH, further reinforcing our efforts to consolidate a culture of social responsibility among our employees. As a bank driven by kindness, we are keen to annually distribute toys to children in hospitals to help spread joy and happiness during their treatment period, which, in turn, positively impacts their psychological state and improves their health.”
Burgan Bank and KACCH and BACCH enjoy a long-standing strategic partnership focused on a common goal of spreading joy and light to the wider community. Their joint work plays a major role in spreading the culture of social responsibility within Burgan Bank’s community, driven by the success of numerous heartwarming initiatives. Previous joint initiatives between the two have included the Bank donating musical instruments to children at Bayt Abdullah and Burgan gifting a young palliative care patient a trip to the semi-final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
