On the second day of the Global Women’s Forum in Dubai, Hana Al Awai, Senior Social Investment Advisor at Sustainable Square, educated the audience on the true business impact of supporting social causes. During this session, Al Awai explained how social activities can impact businesses with extra-financial ROI. The session highlighted the recent collaboration between Sustainability Square and du during Ramadan, which aimed at empowering 36 women to cook meals and give back to society, providing free meals for under-privileged citizens. The Ramadan activity allowed both companies to measure the extra-financial value relative to the resources invested, achieving a social ROI 1:2.

The session is part of du’s participation as strategic partners of the event, where the company leads the Social Impact hub in an aim to showcase its ongoing support to the local community and mainly enabling women in the communications and technology industry.
