Community Development Authority, Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs strengthen mutual cooperation

A delegation of the Community Development Authority (CDA), led by His Excellency Khaled Al Kamda, Director General of CDA, visited Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs.
During the visit, H.E.Khaled Al Kamda said: “CDA is keen to enhance relations with all partners and work closely with them to co-launch initiatives that are useful to the community, especially persons with disabilities. Our visit to Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs is part of a major initiative that supports children with disabilities and integrates them into society to be key members in the comprehensive growth.”
The agenda included key topics such as enhancement of awareness in the community and family about children’s rights, and measures to control domestic violence and sexual harassment, to be undertaken in the light of the federal law, issued by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The meeting also affirmed the importance of the integration of persons with disabilities into the society, highlighting the key initiatives launched by the CDA in this effort such as Child Protection Law.
H.E Khalid Al Halyan, Chairman ofAl Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, lauded the visit by the CDA delegation, commending the remarkable efforts that the CDA has played in developing the social care sector in the emirate and grooming the social services standards according to global best practices. He asserted the Centre’s keenness to improve mutual relation at all levels.
The enhancement of individual and organisational financial aids for charity supportingchildren with disabilities was also on agenda.The two sides noted the need for institutional integration and concerted efforts to achieve the desired goals and address all the obstacles that may come across the implementation of charitable projects.

The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans.
