The Community Development Authority (CDA) participated in the first Educational Forum, held recently in Dubai under the patronage of H.E Humaid Mohammad Al Qatami, Minister of Education, in line with CDA’s efforts to take part in national conferences that support all segments of society, including people with disabilities.

Organized by Dubai Education Zone, the forum attracted high-ranking officials from local entities, and public and private schools in Dubai who exchanged opinions and insights on the integration of individuals with disabilities into the society and public schools.

Dr. Bushra Al Mulla, Director of Dubai Early Child Development Centre, an initiative by  CDA, identified the global best practices with regard to the process of integration of individuals with disabilities into the society, particularly in the educational sector. Dr Mulla highlighted the active role CDA has played to support such individuals by launching promising initiatives and programs, affirming the keenness of the UAE to adopt the global best practices and issue modern laws in this regard, and presenting a comprehensive definition about integration.

Dr Mulla said: “Community Development Authority in Dubai (CDA) is committed to play a part in all the national and local conferences that benefit and sustain all the segments of the community, in particular, people with disabilities. CDA strives to boost the relations with all partners from private and public sectors in an attempt to drive the services provided to this category, by co-launching programs and initiatives aimed to enhance community and family awareness about people with disability.”

Dr. Ahmed Obaid Al Mansouri, Director General of Dubai Educational Zone, honored the individuals and entities that helped organize the forum, recognizing their efforts to support all the segments of society, particularly individuals with disabilities.

​​​The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans.
