In keeping up with the tradition of offering newness every time customers visit this iconic place, City Centre Rotana Doha played host to two of Qatar’s prominent bloggers – Lemon & Mint and Oneshotlatt, who organized a free community book swap.

The event brought book lovers together to swap books and meet like-minded people in an amicable environment. It was a huge success from the word go with the right mix of folks coming together. These bloggers made sure that their social media antics worked in sync before & after the event to entice as many attendees as possible.

Caramel Lobby Lounge, the luxury 5-star hotel’s gourmet coffee-shop, offered guests the perfect place to network and dialog. This vibrant and airy place provided book swap attendees with the most poised location to meet fellow bibliophiles and discover new titles & recommendations.

Commenting on the event, one of the attendees, Yousef Rustom, said, “I’ve had a great time, I enjoyed meeting other readers with whom I shared thoughts and lighter moments. I am quite fascinated with this whole idea of book swap so that knowledge and great read can be disseminated and appreciated by others as well in the most collective manner. The august event also saw in attendance Jean Bayaborda from community group Qatar Book Fairies. Jean is part of a worldwide social endeavor, The Book Fairies, who encourage others to give their used books a new lease of life by passing them on to others or by leaving them in unusual places for others to find.
