Commvault & Microsoft Showcase ‘Intelligent’ Cloud Data Management Strategy
Protecting and migrating data in, and to Azure, Office 365 takes centre stage at GITEX on day three as Commvault discusses how digital transformation is driving the cloud data discussion.
Taking the floor at the Microsoft stand, Commvault will showcase its ability to help customers accelerate data migration through its support for new Microsoft technologies and features, such as Microsoft Azure Archive Blob Storage, a service on the Azure cloud platform providing customers with considerable cost savings for storing data with long retention and compliance requirements.
“The productivity, intelligence and hybrid capabilities of Microsoft Azure, combined with Commvault’s expertise in enterprise data management, support our mutual customers with a trusted solution on their journey to the cloud,” said Dean Paron, Director, Azure Data Box, Microsoft Corp.
In addition to support of Azure Archive Blob Storage and Azure Data Box, Commvault is also highlighting its data management integration for Azure Stack, the on-premises cloud option for large enterprises and managed services providers.
“Digital transformation is driving the cloud data discussion for many organisations in the Gulf region as they continue to realise the benefits afforded by cloud. However, the cloud has also highlighted for many, the need to better manage data in Microsoft Azure and their on-premises data centres,” commented Wael Mustafa, AVP, MESAT region, Commvault.
“From CIOs, to developers and storage administrators, everyone shares the same goal of improving data management for business gains, and as hybrid cloud approaches increase in popularity, our relationship with Microsoft (and the use of each other’s technologies) will enable us to continue to deliver tightly integrated products and tested best practices to our joint customers,” Mustafa finished.
