DHL signs deal with Royal Jordanian Airlines for exclusive ground handling services in Alia International Airport

DHL Express, the world’s leading cross-border express services provider, has signed an exclusive agreement with Royal Jordanian Airport Services by which DHL Express Jordan become the only company in the country to have a license to collect goods from airplanes at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport through Royal Jordanian directly & without any third party handling services. 

The announcement was made following a special signing ceremony at the airport, which was undertaken by DHL Jordan Country Manager Turgay Sarikaya, and Mr. Mohammad Hashem Murtada, Vice President of Airport services, on behalf of Royal Jordanian. 

The contract covers the import and export of materials from the DHL Jordan Gateway, enabling DHL Express Jordan to offer enhanced transit time performance as part of its continued innovation, service excellence and commitment to providing customers with superior logistics solutions. 

“This forming of our new partnership with Royal Jordanian Airlines marks a significant milestone for DHL Express Jordan as it enables us to further enhance our competitive position and abilities to provide the highest level of service to customers in Jordan,” said DHL Jordan Country Manager, Turgay Sarikaya. 

“Since first establishing services in Jordan 30 years ago, DHL has continuously strived to invest in the region to keep pace with increased demand from customers. The gateway, which was the first airside facility of its kind in Jordan, has been offering DHL customers a 24/7 customs clearance service since it launched in 2007 and now, with this agreement, is further facilitating our goal to provide customers with superior logistics solutions.”
