Dubai Customs Introduces Masar Program to Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority Delegation
A visiting delegation from the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) was at Dubai Customs to learn about the best practices and experiences implemented in its recently launched ‘Masar’, a Corporate Strategic Planning and Performance Management System aimed at automating the process of corporate strategy, operational plans and KPIs update and development across the organization.
A team from DC’s strategy and corporate excellence department welcomed the delegation and walked them through Masar’s objectives, processes and mechanisms that makes the program a truly integrated single window system for organizing all aspects of strategic planning and performance management.
The visit is part of the two organizations’ ongoing commitment to reinforcing mutual cooperation and benchmarking through knowledge transfer and sharing of expertise in various areas of strategy, information technology, service automation and business development.
Dubai Customs is one of the leading government departments taking part in enhancing sustainable development and promoting Dubai’s image worldwide, turning it into a principal capital, business and tourism destination, as it facilitates smooth movement of legitimate trade and leverages economic and social development, the matter which is consistent with its slogan stating "gateway to Dubai’s prosperity", because prosperity is usually based on free trade through a safe, fast and practical environment to meet the needs of people and adapt to their requirements. This in addition to DC’s main role to protect society and borders against those who try to smuggle prohibited substances to or through Dubai threatening the community safety and security.
