Emaar Retail offers innovative platforms for Samsung’s brand building initiatives

Emaar Retail, the premier leisure and entertainment provider in the region, is offering a range of innovative brand building platforms for Samsung Electronics, a global leader in consumer electronics.
Mr Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Retail LLC, and Mr Young Soo Kim, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, signed the agreement whereby Samsung will be an official sponsor of Dubai Ice Rink and Reel Cinemas managed by Emaar Retail.
Bringing a new dimension to outdoor advertising, the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink features a giant LED display of Samsung branding, which has the potential to instantly capture customer attention through its strategic location, in addition to other avenues for brand display.
Reel Cinemas, the UAE’s largest megaplex with 22-screens at The Dubai Mall and first ‘premier’ boutique, 6-screen Cineplex at the Dubai Marina Mall, and Samsung will benefit mutually from the partnership during selected movie previews, special ticket offers, and additional branding opportunities.
Mr Amiri said: “With the retail sector gaining strength, corporates are looking at effective alternatives to brand building. The key consideration in the marketing outreach initiatives is to gain maximum customer eyeball in a convenient location that helps sustained brand engagement. Emaar Retail’s leisure precincts are offering strong opportunities to reach out to millions of customers.”
Mr Young Soo Kim added: “The branding agreement with Emaar Retail will help Samsung to maximise our brand building. Dubai Ice Rink and Reel Cinemas are popular destinations for the youth and families in the region, and our brand presence will help us connect instantly with our core target groups.”
