ENOC marks ‘Flag Day’ to strengthen UAE national solidarity

In response to the call by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and its subsidiaries today marked the UAE Flag Day by hoisting the National Flag at the company’s headquarters in Dubai, celebrating the accession of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the President of the UAE. 

Saeed Khoory, Chief Executive Officer of ENOC, said: “We are thankful to the guidance and visionary leaders of our nation, who inspire us and provide us the ideal growth environment. Their vision has elevated the UAE as one of the world’s most admired and happiest countries, led by a culture of excellence. 

“The UAE National Flag Day is our tribute to our nation and its people to further the spirit of solidarity. It encourages us to work together to accomplish the common goal of promoting the social and economic prosperity of our country, and achieve the UAE Vision 2021 to be among the best nations in the world. 

“The UAE National Flag is our source of pride and by marking the UAE National Flag Day, we are further underlining our commitment to work with all our stakeholders to fulfil the leadership’s vision for our country. Together, we can achieve even more impressive milestones for our nation.” 

ENOC’s employees raised the UAE National Flag at exactly 12 noon, reaffirming the solemn oath committing ENOC’s solidarity to the nation, which was pledged by all employees. The flag raising ceremony is being posted on all social media networks of ENOC including Facebook and YouTube. 

The UAE National Flag Day marks the start of the UAE National Day celebrations to be held on December 2, 2014. As in previous years, ENOC will organise a wide range of activities to celebrate ‘The Spirit of the Union,’ in addition to underlining the company’s solidarity to the nation, the organisation’s culture of volunteerism and commitment to excellence.
