EzRemit signs agreement with National Bank of Pakistan

EzRemit, part of BFC Group Holdings, a leading provider of reliable global money transfer services, today announced a ground breaking strategic agreement with National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), the largest commercial bank operating in Pakistan. This deal adds more than 1,200 NBP branch locations to the EzRemit distribution network, adding to its growing network of correspondent banks and agents worldwide.

Established by NBP, the Global Home Remittances Group,  is a dedicated centre to serve expatriate remittances flowing into Pakistan, and is one amongst the various initiatives taken by NBP to increase the flow of remittances into the country through its network. The group which is headed by Khalid Bin Shaheen, a seasoned banker for over thirty years, has adopted cutting edge technology to enhance service delivery and has introduced many value added services to remittance customers such as, SMS confirmation facilities and dedicated remittance centres.

This new agreement with EzRemit is  the latest step in our strategy to simplify and streamline the process for Pakistani expats to remit money back home to their families,”  said Khalid Bin Shaheen. 

In Bahrain, EzRemit’s money transfer services can be availed at any of BFC’s twenty five, strategically located shops in the Kingdom. In addition to BFC, other agents providing EzRemit services to send remittance to Pakistan and across the globe include, Arab Exchange Company (AREXCO), Bahrain India International Exchange Co.BSC and BEX Money Bahrain Express Exchange.
