UAE Federal National Council to Hold 8th Session on Tuesday
The Federal National Council, FNC, is to hold its eighth ordinary session of the 16th legislative chapter on Tuesday, 30th January 2018.
Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, will chair the session which will be held at the FNC’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The eighth session agenda will include reviewing reports from various committees, including the FNC Social Affairs, Labour, Population and Human Resources Committee, which will present a report on the 'Federal Government Human Resources Policy'.
The FNC will discuss draft laws passed by the committees, as well as the UAE Central Bank Policy.
Federal National Council
The Federal National Council (FNC) is the legislature of the United Arab Emirates.
The Council has 40 members with advisory tasks rather than legislative power. Twenty members are elected by the 6,689 members of the Electoral College; the other 20 are nominated by their respective emirates.
The Federal National Council was formed under the Provisional Constitution of the United Arab Emirates in 1971 as a permanent component of the country's governing structure, which also includes the Supreme Council, President, Cabinet and Judiciary.
