FGB customer wins AED 1 million

FGB customer, Ms. Ruchi Sharma, has become the 16th winner of the bank’s AED 1 million FirstSavings Certificate Scheme (FSC) grand prize, in 2017’s 1st quarterly draw. FGB launched the FSC scheme in 2012 to promote a savings culture amongst UAE residents and enhance financial literacy across the country. In the FirstSavings Certificate scheme, there are three categories of prizes. Every day five customers win prizes of AED 1,000 each, whilst every month 1,901 customers win prizes of up to AED 50,000 each, and every quarter, one customer wins the grand prize of AED 1 million.

Ms. Ruchi Sharma, said: “When I received that million dirham winning message, FGB set a fabulous example of how a simple phone call can change somebody’s life. I just couldn’t believe my ears! I thank FGB wholeheartedly for changing my life and inspiring me to invest more in my savings. The larger the number of First Savings certificates a customer holds, and the longer they hold them for, the better chance they have of of winning prizes. Customers also benefit from a guaranteed interest rate of 1% per annum on savings above AED 5,000. Since the launch of the scheme, prizes have been presented to around 101,290 customers, including; 16 (AED 1 Million winners), 49 (AED 50k winners) and 7400 (AED 1000 winners). FSC is open to all residents of UAE, both nationals and expatriates.
