HBMeU Board of Governors underlines importance of continuing focus on excellence and innovation

Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU), a leader in the field of e-Learning and quality management in the Arab World, recently concluded the meeting of its board of governors at its new headquarters in Dubai International Academic City, in the presence of H.E. Lt. Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the University; H.E. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of H.H. Ruler's Court, and Vice Chairman of the Board; in addition to all board members.  

The meeting witnessed the confirmation of the names of graduates from the e-School of Business and Quality Management, e-School of Health and Environment Studies, and School of e-Education. During the meeting, the board members emphasized on the need to continue the focus on excellence and innovation that enabled HBMeU to launch new academic programs, implement pilot initiatives, and also ensure the development of innovative standards for enhancing the overall teaching and learning experience.

The meeting discussed the themes and objectives of the Strategic Plan 2011-2015, which aim to enhance quality, establish a culture of innovation and excellence and improve e-learning at the regional level. The meeting was also held in line with the University's keenness to ensure successful integration of theory and practice as well as enhance HBMeU’s status as the first e-learning University and the premier academic choice in the UAE and Arab World, complementing the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of HBMeU. 

The meeting also focused on discussing the most effective initiatives that complement the objectives of the university in achieving a new education paradigm and preparing a young generation who are well-equipped to contribute to the country’s growth and development at various levels. The members of the Board of Governors also discussed the proposed program of "Investors in Education" as well as new programs in the area of customer services. It was decided to present an operational plan for the proposed programs during the next meeting.  

HBMeU is the first e-learning institute in the Arab World that was established with the vision to develop a new learning process through the implementation of learning practices characterised by flexibility, quality and diversity to strengthen self-leadership among learners and prepare them socially and academically for a future career through integration in the job market. HBMeU’s philosophy is based on vital methods that have been developed through extensive research and development by specialists from all over the world.
