HMC launches Ramadan breakfast drive in Affiliate Hospitals

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has launched a Ramadan breakfast drive in all of its affiliated Hospitals. The drive is being conducted under the patronage and sponsorship of Sheikh Eid Charitable Society (SECS), which has contributed QAR 72,000 to support this drive.

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Khater, Executive Director of HMC’s Corporate Communications Department stated in the project launch meeting: “The drive has already commenced in HMC hospitals; Hamad General Hospital, Al Khor Hospital, Wakra Hospital, Heart Hospital, Rumailah Hospital, Women’s Hospital, and the National Center for Cancer Care & Research, where meals are distributed to physicians, nurses, and visitors who are in the hospitals at the Ramadan breakfast time. The project was overseen and conducted by HMC”.

At the meeting with the representatives of Sheikh Eid Charitable Society, Mr. Yousef Jassim, Acting Head of Sheikh Eid Social Center, Mr.Haytham Misned, Internal Marketing Officer, and Mr. Majed Yousef, External Marketing Officer, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Khater praised the ongoing cooperation and partnership between HMC and Sheikh Eid Charitable Society. This was not the first activity to be arranged jointly by both organizations.

Mr. Jassim spoke on the priority given to healthcare services rendered to disadvantaged residents which are provided through HMC facilities. Millions of patients have been cared for last year through the HMC – SECS partnership. Amongst all domestic and foreign healthcare points that SECS deals with, HMC has always been the best in fast-tracking patients referred by SECS.

Mr. Jassim also expressed SECS’s wish to organize educational and recreational activities for patients at HMC Hospitals. He further emphasized his willingness to provide HMC with medical equipment or other forms of support needed to serve these patients.

Present at the meeting from HMC side were, also, Mr. Abdullah Al Khalaf, Director of Public Relations, and Mrs. Aysha Al- Kulaifi, Head of Corporate Responsibility at the Corporate Communications Department.
