IBQ sponsors 4th Gulf Jazz Festival

IBQ has announced its sponsorship of this year’s Gulf Jazz Festival organized by the Scandinavian Business Council Qatar (SBCQ) and taking place on Sunday the 29th of April at 8 PM. Under the patronage of the Polish Embassy, the festival will take place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel and will feature several performances along with an exquisite dinner.

The festival will feature three main performances. The first show will be an up-tempo jazz performance by the renowned singer and trumpet player Michaela Rabitsch along with guitarist Robert Pawlik. The second part will consist of a performance by the legendary Polish saxophonist Henryk Miskiewicz. As for the final performance, the attendees will be able to experience one of Sweden’s foremost Jazz singers, Vivian Buczek, who will exemplify her beautiful voice and outstanding uplifting performance skills. IBQ has aligned itself with numerous entities and organizations to reach out to various walks of its community through initiatives and endeavors that serve the welfare of the entire socioeconomic system in Qatar in addition to help supporting true causes throughout the year.

SBCQ is a non-for-profit networking platform for Scandinavian companies in Qatar and Qatari companies working with Scandinavian brands. SBCQ, hosted in Qatar by Qatari Businessmen Association, organizes monthly networking, cultural and social events for the members and associates. In arts & culture, IBQ has been sponsoring the renowned classical concert event, the Friends of the American School of Doha Chamber Music Series, which sees scores of globally-recognized artists performing in Doha each year. IBQ has also developed its own home-grown arts initiative to tap into and promote local talent through the annual IBQ Artist Series.
