Jordan Ahli Bank sponsors the Palestine National Orchestra concerts

As part of its efforts to support the professional development of talented young musicians from the region, Jordan Ahli Bank participated as the silver sponsor for the Palestine National Orchestra (PNO) concert series. The concerts - launched by the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (ESNCM) & Al Balad Theatre - were recently held at the Hussein Cultural Center.
Regarding this sponsorship, Saad Mouasher, Deputy CEO/Head of Group Strategy and Corporate Communications at Jordan Ahli Bank, remarked that the bank makes a concerted effort to support a diverse array of cultural and artistic initiatives. Mouasher emphasized the importance of the concerts in elevating the musical scene in Amman and building a strong culture of performing arts. In addition, the event opened up new prospects for the performers, enabling them to proudly express their Palestinian identity and message globally through the medium of music.
The Palestine National Orchestra (PNO) - officially launched on New Year’s Day in 2011 – is the first professional Palestinian orchestra gathering together a multicultural ensemble of Palestinian, Arab, and Western musicians. Directed by the Australian-Lebanese conductor, Mathew Coorey, PNO’s 2012 concert in Amman featured orchestral classics infused with an Eastern twist.
Jordan Ahli Bank is a consistent supporter of local cultural events and initiatives, last of which was Fall 2011’s Citadel Nights and Dead Sea Nights.
