Jordan Ahli Bank supports "Let’s Read” initiative in cooperation with STEPS Organization

Jordan Ahli Bank recently provided its support to the "Let’s Read" initiative, in cooperation with STEPS, a local not-for-profit organization. The Let’s Read initiative aims to encourage the Kingdom’s younger generations to cultivate and embrace a passion for reading and sharing knowledge.

The initiative was conducted through a series of activities carried out over two consecutive days, and was supported by the voluntary participation of Jordan Ahli Bank’s employees. The first day of the initiative was held at the Bala'ma Special Education Society, while the second day’s activities were hosted at Al Bireh Association, which operates in Al-Salt, ‘Eera and Yarqa. 

The Let’s Read initiative included a variety of efforts designed to meet its objectives. Both the Bala’ma Special Education Society and Al Bireh Association were provided with children’s libraries to enhance their facilities and operations, providing children in these communities with a wide array of books and stories. On the days of the activities, children were also invited to take part in an engaging group reading activity, during which they were split into small reading groups. Each of these groups read a different book, and then shared their new knowledge and insights with the other groups of children.

Speaking on the occasion, Jordan Ahli Bank's management stressed that its support for the Let’s Read initiative comes as part of the bank's commitment to supporting the education and development of local youth. Jordan Ahli Bank aims to help provide local children and students with the necessary tools to enhance and elevate their knowledge outside of the school curriculum, with the goal of creating a generation of self-motivated, inquisitive and well-rounded individuals. By inspiring a positive reading culture, the bank hopes to elevate the intellectual and linguistic capacities of students across the Kingdom. Likewise, Jordan Ahli Bank was thrilled to enjoy the support of its employees, as the company consistently works to inspire the spirit of volunteerism among both employees and the greater community.
