KPMG in Bahrain recently held an event at the Ritz Carlton hotel to commemorate the 'International Women’s Day'. The event was an effort to recognize and inspire the women within the firm. Gender parity is a critical part of our business strategy in Bahrain and across our global network.

A key highlight of the event was the keynote by the guest of honor - a member of the Board of Directors of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, Mrs. Elham Hasan. The focus of the discussions essentially covered the increasing contribution of women in the labor market. Mrs. Hasan was also kind enough to share with the audience her own journey towards success and the related learnings she has had as a professional and as a homemaker.

Partner and Board Member at KPMG in Bahrain and Qatar, Ms. Jeyapriya Partiban who hosted, shared her story as a case in point within KPMG as an example of how women can grow successfully within the firm.  Ms. Partiban joined KPMG Fakhro in 2005 as a Senior Manager and she was promoted to Partner in October 2007 and appointed as one of their members of the Board in 2016.

This is in line with KPMG’s ongoing efforts to be the Clear Choice for their clients, people and the communities they live and operate within.
