LG changes the cooking culture at the “Life Tastes Good Competition”

LG Electronics (LG), the world’s leading innovator in home appliances, hosted the 2^nd annual “Life Tastes Good Championship” (LTGC) in Egypt– world’s biggest amateur chefs contest sponsored by global brand.

Inspired from LG’s slogan, ‘Life’s Good’, LTGC supports amateur chefs to perform one’s culinary skills and experience other country’s food culture and various cuisines, providing ‘Life does Taste Good’ in our daily life. LTGC this year showcased some of the best cooking talents from around Egypt around the globe with more participating teams from nine countries including Iran, South Africa, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Nigeria Turkey, Jordan, and Morocco.

LG's Cooking Competition most definitely attracts Egyptian men and women with hidden talents to create the most tasteful recipe for one single culinary solution bringing together green gourmets, a healthy lifestyle and pure fun.”

Winners, using LG's innovative cooking technology such as faster cooking process and higher energy efficiency, in each category were selected based on various parameters, such as taste, time and quality of presentation skills. This year’s theme focused on “World On Your Table by Light Wave”.

Going green is at the forefront of LG Electronics plans for the future, and events such as this are imperative to provide us valuable perspective from our customers. It is with such insight that we move forwards!” added Mr. Kim. 

Contestants were challenged to create dishes in a specific given time, using LG's SolarDOM, part of LG's lightweight oven range which cooks three times faster than conventional ovens. LG’s SolarDom microwave presents more crispy and juicy food through the crispy tray which is heated by its special material which doesn’t create any harmful wastes.  

 After a tough battle resulting in many wonderful culinary creations, Dr. Sanaa Ali won first place won from Egypt to participate regionally in Turkey against the nine other finalists.
