Hotel staff come together to raise money for local charity - 9000 toothbrushes distributed to labor camp residents in Dubai.

The staff of the Mövenpick Hotel Deira have come together to raise money for the local charity ‘Adopt a camp’. The money raised by the hotel staff has been used to buy 9000 toothbrushes which have been distributed to local labor camps in Dubai.

“Our staff were so dedicated, a team of 37 stayed at The Dubai World Trade Centre, until the early hours of the morning making sure all 9000 tooth brushes were packed and ready to be delivered to the camps,” said Michael Nugent, General Manager, Mövenpick Hotel Deira.

Adopt a Camp and Care Packages for Labourers are charitable initiatives founded by Saher Shaikh in 2005. For the past six years, Adopt a Camp has taken care of labourers in labour camps and currently has 12,800 men spread across 38 labour camps in the UAE under its umbrella.
