Mahmoudia Motors hosts second annual Jaguar Land Rover MENA ‘Technician of the Year’ semi-finals in Jordan

For the second consecutive year, Mahmoudia Motors – the sole and official dealer of Jaguar and Land Rover cars in Jordan – hosted a semi-final round of the annual Jaguar Land Rover MENA Technician of the Year Award competition. Held on Friday 2 December, 2016, at the Mahmoudia Motors After-Sales Facility in Amman, the event put some of the region’s most skilled Jaguar and Land Rover technicians to the test, each vying to advance to the next stage of the competition to compete for the regional title among top Jaguar and Land Rover technicians from 17 countries across the region.

The Technician of the Year Award programme consists of a range of technical assessments, as well as a customer service element, aiming to demonstrate each technician’s ability to go above and beyond the mechanical fundamentals and deliver personalised, dependable service. Retailers from each market across the MENA region were given the opportunity to nominate up to two technicians for the programme, after which the highest ranked nominees advanced to the Award’s semi-final stage.

Semi-final events were held in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco, during which technicians were faced with a series of theoretical and practical tasks meant to test their skills and hands-on expertise. In Jordan’s semi-final event, Mahmoudia Motors welcomed Jaguar and Land Rover technicians from across the region, each of whom demonstrated their diverse abilities throughout the competitive round.

Following the conclusion of the Award’s semi-final events across the region, which will take place in Morocco on 10 December, 2016, the top six finalists for each brand will prepare to compete for the regional title in Dubai on 23 January, 2017, where two champions, one from Jaguar and one from Land Rover, will be named. In addition to winning the Jaguar Land Rover Technician of the Year trophy and cash prizes, the two winning technicians will go on to compete in the Global Jaguar Land Rover Technician of the Year finals, to be held later in the United Kingdom in October 2017.
