Majid bin Mohammed honours Dubai Culture employees for commendable efforts towards the culture and arts industry

His Highness Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated Authority for culture, arts, and heritage, attended the Authority’s annual staff recognition ceremony, which honoured its employees for their accomplishments, at the Al Multaqa Hall, World Trade Centre.
Under the theme ‘You are the Wealth,’ the Authority, recognised the dedication and commitment of its employees in promoting the city’s cultural scene and setting a model in teamwork, rewarding them for their outstanding work.
His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed, said: “Our goal is to enrich the cultural scene of the Emirate by building on our heritage, promoting new talent in culture and the arts, encouraging intercultural dialogue and serving as the driving force of Dubai’s culture, heritage and arts.
“On this journey, each one of the Dubai Culture employees has played an integral role. I congratulate them for their committed efforts in planning, implementing and promoting our successful initiatives, partnerships and endorsements,” His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed added.
Saeed Al Nabouda, Acting Director General of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, said: “The Authority has made significant strides since its inception, driving the growth of the city’s cultural and artistic landscape. This was achieved primarily through the unwavering commitment and dedication of our employees. Their drive for innovation and excellence plays an integral role in helping us achieve our goals.”
The Authority also hosted an art exhibition titled ‘Creatives,’ showcasing the talent of its employees, and aimed at nurturing their skills and encouraging colleagues to promote their creativity. His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed toured the exhibition, which featured over 20 artworks in an array of mediums including photography, installations, painting, and calligraphy, underscoring the wealth of artistic talent in the Authority’s workforce.
His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed also directed to introduce the annual ‘Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Artistic Excellence,’ to be presented to the employees whose works won in the exhibition.
The award, which will be presented every year at the annual staff recognition ceremony to the artists within the Authority, is aimed at reinforcing their artistic skills.
During the course of the ceremony, Dubai Culture announced the launch of its Intranet-DC360°, to foster and strengthen internal communication, creating an effective department-wide collaboration. The Intranet has been designed to cater specifically to the culture and arts sector, providing employees the opportunity to exhibit their artwork, and thus foster their skills.
