Mashreq appoints UAE National as Head of Distribution

Mashreq, one of the UAE’s leading financial institutions announced the appointment of a UAE National Shaker Fareed Zainal, as Head of Distribution. The new appointment comes in line with the bank’s Emiratisation strategy and commitment to place UAE Nationals in leadership positions within the bank.

In his new post as Head of Distribution, Zainal will be responsible of the branches network, operations and day to day process.

Shaker Fareed Zainal is an experienced banker with 13 years in the banking and finance industry. Prior to joining Mashreq, he held the post of Head of Branches and Corporate Customer Service in HSBC, where he overlooked customer interaction and the level of service provided to them.

Zainal held various managerial positions in HSBC such as Regional Head of Operations, Head of Distribution and Direct Banking, Network Service Manager, Regional Call Centre Manager and Head Corporate Customer Services amongst others.

Zainal holds Bachelors of Accounting from the UAE University.
