Mashreq marks the 45th UAE National Day with a range of celebrations

Mashreq, one of the UAE’s leading financial institutions celebrated the UAE’s 45th National Day with a spectrum of activities across the organization. The Bank also launched earlier the #youAE campaign which marks National Pride with a host of social media engagement activities. The move demonstrates the bank’s aim to commemorate this joyous occasion with its customers, employees and the people of the UAE.
To officially start the celebrations, H.E. AbdulAziz Al Ghurair, CEO of Mashreq commemorated UAE National Day with a cake-cutting ceremony at the Bank’s offices with all employees, which was followed by traditional and local Emirati performances.
H.E. AbdulAziz Al Ghurair commented, “The 2nd December is the time of the year, we all reflect on the nation’s achievements and the unique developments that we witness day in and day out. Because of our wise leadership, the UAE today has reached the highest ranks both regionally and internationally in all aspects.”
To mark UAE National Pride, the Bank for the second year in a row launched a 360 campaign to engage with customers on social media platforms with the question “What defines #youAE?”
Mashreq launched the campaign with the hashtag #youAE and is using a combination of digital platforms, advertising, crowd sourcing and various competitions to encourage everyone to take part and get involved in this campaign. Participants can win fuel and shopping vouchers by contributing their stories with the hashtag #youAE
