MD & CEO receives General Electric delegation
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received Ghassan Barghout, President and CEO of General Electric, Gas Power Systems in Middle East and North Africa, and a delegation from GE. Khaled Nasser Lootah, Vice President of Strategic Key Accounts at DEWA, and Mohammed Wehbe, Strategic Accounts Director at DEWA, and Waleed Salman, Executive Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at DEWA, also attended the meeting.
Al Tayer welcomed the delegation, noting the importance of enhancing cooperation, and highlighting DEWA’s most important projects and initiatives for sustainable development and improving the electricity and water infrastructure, according to the highest international standards.
The visiting delegation highlighted the latest techniques, solutions, research, and studies in energy production. The delegation expressed interest in supporting DEWA’s projects, while exchanging skills, information, and techniques, to achieve sustainable development in Dubai.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on 1 January, 1992, by a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take over and merge the Dubai Electric Company and the Dubai Water Department that had been operating independently for several years until then.
