Driven by a succession of value-added promotions and consistent first-class hospitality, Millennium Resort Mussanah celebrated the conclusion of another award-winning year that saw its popularity with travelers from multiple segments continue to rapidly grow.  Highlighting its success, the resort welcomed more than 86,267 stayover guests and 15,071 people to its state-of-the-art meetings facilities throughout the year. With more offers and even greater service lined up for visitors, Millennium Resort Mussanah is well positioned to exceed expectations once again in 2017.

Christoph Schleissing, General Manager of Millennium Resort Mussanah, said, “The success we have enjoyed over the past year reflects the popularity of our state-of-the-art facilities, authentic hospitality, and cost-effective promotions. Thanks to the hard-work of our team, we were able to exceed expectations and forge even stronger bonds with our guests. Our approach has resulted in a landmark increase in the resort’s popularity, including a surge in social media activity that has resulted in more than 32,000 Facebook Likes, more than any other hotel in the Sultanate.”

Leading the way with a host of exciting offers for every occasion of the year, Millennium Resort Mussanah attracted visitors from the GCC, Europe and other key source markets with a wide variety of additions to the property. Among many new features designed specifically to provide guests with an even greater experience was the resort’s upgraded menu at the Zayna Spa, featuring best-in-class treatments from around the world, in addition to relaxing dining concepts available at The Deck, Compass Bar, and Shisha Lounge.

Additionally, Millennium Resort Mussanah’s long-held reputation as a premier destination for major sports events was also strengthened during the year with the hosting of the Sultanate’s 10th Open Water Swimming Championship, the inaugural Millennium Triathlon event, and the Renaissance Interschool Regatta. Teaming up with local stakeholders to bring even greater benefits to its guests, the resort also joined hands with Oman Sail to train the next generation of sailors during the skill oriented one-day Summer Camp.

A number of new activities catering to a wide variety of guests have led to a surge in occupancy rates. These include zip-lining, seasonal sandcastle building competitions, jet skis, banana boat water sleds, Zumba, and karaoke nights.

Schleissing added, “Our remarkable growth has been spearheaded by the many different segments of visitors we cater to, ranging from families and couples to those looking for adventurous or romantic getaways along the Batinah Coast. The increase in guest numbers across all categories is reflective of our diverse market strategy, which has allowed us to leverage our new services and facilities to build on the success we enjoyed in previous years by offering even higher value propositions to all visitors. Guests can expect an even more enhanced experience as we prepare to introduce more promotions, more developments, and take our services to even greater heights.”

Millennium Resort Mussanah’s continued growth has been spearheaded by a consistent drive to train and empower its employees with opportunities to deliver first-rate hospitality experiences. Among its many programs launched were its World training, Basic Hygiene training, and the Train the Trainer initiative among many others. The resort maintains a strong commitment to supporting the Sultanate’s national workforce, achieving an Omanization rate of 45.6%.

Highlighting its successful focus on customer satisfaction, the resort won the prestigious award for best ‘Luxury Coastal Resort’ in the Middle East and North Africa during the 10th annual World Luxury Hotel Awards. Millennium Resort Mussanah’s commitment to customer experience and hospitality also led to a fourth consecutive TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence based on the volume and quality of 4-5 star reviews submitted to the world’s largest travel site. As a result of its consistent delivery of exceptional service, the resort was chosen by French tour operators Look Voyages to be the host of the Sultanate and the GCC’s Club Lookéa branch.
