Millennium Resort Mussanah to host Oman’s fourth qualifier of Red Bull ‘Neymar Jr.’S Five’ tournament

Millennium Resort Mussanah is set to welcome dozens of high flying footballers when it hosts the Sultanate’s fourth qualifier of the Red Bull ‘Neymar Jr.’s Five’ tournament on February 18^th. Teams from across Oman will compete in the fast-paced, global five-a-side competition for a chance to represent the Sultanate at the World Final in Brazil this summer.

Combining his love of street football and freestyle, Barcelona FC’s Brazilian star Neymar Jr. is calling footballers aged 16-25 to team up for a fun, fast and technical tournament. Two teams of five, sans a goalkeeper, will have 10 minutes to outplay one another for the chance to be crowned world champions. The twist in this exciting competition is that for each goal scored by a team, a member of the opposition will have to leave the field.

I strongly encourage everyone who enjoys fast paced football to register as early as possible to guarantee they have a chance to compete.”

More than 50 countries in six continents will be hosting tournament qualifiers in a bid to select the best five-a-side team to represent them in the ultimate finale. Oman will be hosting eight qualifiers from February 10th-March 10^th, with the national final set to take place on Friday 17^th  of March in Hillat Al Sheikh, Muttrah.
