Millennium Resort Mussanah launches eco-friendly initiatives on Earth Day
As part of their celebrations for Earth Day, Millennium Resort Mussanah organized a beach clean-up drive to clear debris and plastic from areas along the Batinah Coast. Team members, guests and local children from the neighbourhood of the resort participated, disposing of around 1,000 kg of waste. After beach cleaning, the team with the children from neighbourhood joined playing football together. Additionally, the resort launched their latest attraction, an edible herb garden called the ‘Chef’s Garden’ at Mydan Restaurant. Bringing the healthy farm-to-table movement to Oman, the garden will have a long-term environmental impact and reduce the resort’s carbon footprint.
Millennium Resort Mussanah’s new initiative is in line with this year’s Earth Day theme about ‘Environmental and Climate Literacy,’ as the new garden will raise awareness amongst guests and diners about creating delicious, eco-friendly cuisine through home-grown produce. Setting a positive example in the region, the resort is also completely energy-efficient as part of its effort to conserve electricity and water.
