Millennium Resort Mussanah secures gourmet glory at Oman’s Premier Chef Competition
Reflecting its passion for culinary excellence, a team of professional chefs from Millennium Resort Mussanah won bronze at the seventh annual ‘Professional Chef Competition’, the Sultanate’s most prestigious cuisine contest. The resort was represented by Chaudan Singh, Atika Tarafi, and Lionel Ravindra Kumara during the event which featured 25 of Oman’s best gastronomic minds for the ultimate food challenge. Organized by the Chefs Guild of Oman at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, the event featured a number of exciting trials that pushed the professionalism of all contenders to the test.
The competition had six categories for participants to choose from including three-tier wedding cakes, tapas, petit fours, live cooking mystery boxes, and five-course gourmet dinner menus. Competitors were graded by an expert judging panel on their flavours, hygiene, creativity, presentation and technique. Millennium Resort Mussanah was the only participating hotel whose entire team walked away with medals as its chefs recorded major scores in the mystery live box and petit four categories.
