MKF Announces Winner of Creative Design Art Installation Competition

AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has announced Bahraini architect and artist Abdulla Binhindi as the winner of its Creative Design Art Installation Competition. His winning concept will be revealed during the official opening ceremony of the Foundation’s new headquarters in Riffa, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries and community leaders.
The selected artwork embodies the Foundation’s core mission to empower youth, promote education, and serve the community. It represents these values through an artistic style that goes beyond abstract form, blending creativity with a sense of purpose and vision for the future.
On the occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at MKF, affirmed that the winning piece will stand as an inspiring symbol of the Foundation’s values and its enduring commitment to social development. She further noted that the unveiling will coincide with the inauguration of the Foundation’s new headquarters, heralding in a new chapter of impactful initiatives for the wider community.
In response to the announcement, Architect Abdulla Binhindi expressed his gratitude and pride in being selected, thanking the Foundation and all those involved in the competition for fostering a platform that enables Bahraini youth across the creative, artistic, and engineering fields to showcase their talents.
Abdulla Binhindi is a Bahraini architect and artist whose work fuses spatial design with sculptural storytelling. He is the founder of Toyio, a cultural toy design brand, and a partner at the award-winning Shepherd Studio. His artistic expression spans conceptual art and architectural installations. He is the recipient of the Wallpaper* Design Award, and his work has been featured on international platforms such as Dezeen, Designboom, and Hypebeast.
